BREEDING OPPORTUNITIES
Ken King Thoroughbreds owns its own thoroughbred stud at Euroa Victoria in the heart of Victoria’s premier breeding region and has in a very short time established itself as a leading breeder of quality thoroughbreds.
Even though the stud has been established a little over 5 years we are proud to have bred and or reared group horses RIVA SAN (Gr1 winner) and HELIDECK (Gr3 and Listed winner) and the stakes placed IT’S GULLEYGOLD and numerous other individual City and Country winners.
We have successfully raced Gr1 winners SKALATO and BON HOFFA and established them as commercial stallions in Australia.
As well as syndicating Racing partnerships we also offer a limited number of Breeding partnerships which allow investors the opportunity to participate in the lucrative breeding of yearlings for subsequent sale and or racing.
BREEDING PARTNERSHIPS AVAILABLE
We have 10 share partnerships available with costs as little as $100pm (exclusive of stallion service fees and insurance).
We have 10% shares available in the following broodmares who are all in foal to Gr1 winning 1st season stallion BON HOFFA.
KEY INVESTMENT CONSIDERATIONS
The major purpose of the breeding partnership is to produce commercially viable progeny from the mare that can be sold at public auction. If the breeding partners wish to race any of the mares progeny rather than sell at public auction then at least 75% of breeding partners must agree.
Ken King Thoroughbreds can also syndicate and sell shares on behalf of partners if required
The purchase price includes the service fee of $8800 payable for the mare to be covered by BON HOFFA and includes a free return to the stallion should the mare not have a live foal.
The average monthly fee inclusive of agistment and veterinary costs is estimated at $100 for each 10% breeding partners share and commence when breeding partner acquires share.
In addition to the monthly costs to maintain the mare on a day to day basis there are annual costs including stallion service fees, costs of weaning the foal, weanling/yearling agistment costs, yearling preparation costs and costs associated with sending the yearling to auction.
The Manager’s shall charge each 10% partner an annual administration fee of $75 payable in advance
The Manager shall be entitled to a fee of 5% of any net proceeds received from the sale of the mare’s progeny
The Manager shall receive all progeny sale monies by the partnership’s mare and deposit such money into his Trust Account and then shall distribute such monies to the breeding partners pro rata to the number of shares held by each of them within 30 days of receipt by Manager.
